Mondays At The Museum: Summer 2026 Workshops

​Looking for a fun and enriching summer activity for your child? The Venango Museum’s Mondays at the Museum workshop series offers eight hands-on summer sessions for children ages 8–12, with a mix of Art and STEM programming led by experienced teachers from the Oil City Area School District.

​

No prior experience is needed. Our instructors guide students through each activity step by step.

​

Each workshop runs from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM, with check-in beginning at 9:45 AM.

​

Children may register for one session, several sessions, or all eight. There is no requirement to attend every Monday.

​

Cost: $20 per child, per session
Ages: 8–12
Time: 10:00 AM–3:00 PM
Check-in: Begins at 9:45 AM
Lunch: Provided each day
Capacity: 20 students per session

Early registration is encouraged, as space is limited.

About the Program

Mondays at the Museum is designed to give children a welcoming, engaging summer experience in a museum setting. Each session includes age-appropriate activities, guided instruction, hands-on learning, and time for creativity and exploration.

Families may choose the dates that work best for their schedules. Students are welcome to attend as many or as few sessions as they like.

Pam Marterella

Pam Marterella is an art teacher with the Oil City Area School District. Her sessions will focus on creativity, making, and artistic exploration through fun hands-on projects.

Sarah Seaton

Sarah Seaton is a STEM teacher with the Oil City Area School District. Her sessions will emphasize curiosity, experimentation, problem-solving, and active learning through STEM-based activities.

Daily Schedule

9:45 AM – Check-in begins
10:00 AM – Workshop starts
12:00 PM – Lunch
12:30 PM – Afternoon activities
3:00 PM – Pick-up

Lunch is provided each day. Typical lunch offerings include hot dogs, walking tacos, and pizza. Students are welcome to pack their own lunch.

What to bring

Participants should wear comfortable clothes suitable for art, science, and hands-on activities. A refillable water bottle is recommended. Although lunch is provided, participants may pack their own.

Each session is $20, and lunch is included.

Space is limited to 20 students per session. If a selected session has already filled, museum staff will contact you to arrange a transfer or refund.
