About the contest

The Venango Museum's Best Sandwich In The County contest returns from June 1 - August 31 in 2024!

 

Customers will have the opportunity to purchase a "Best Sandwich" entry card from the Museum for $10.00 which will entitle them to try one each of all sandwiches entered into the contest at 50% OFF (once per restaurant). Entry cards will go on sale on June 1 and will be available at the Museum's front desk.

When participating customers have tried all the sandwiches they like, they can indicate the sandwich they enjoyed the most on the back of their entry card and return it to the Museum to cast their vote.

Winner of the contest will be announced in October as to allow all participating customers time to submit their votes.

Restaurants wishing to participate can sign-up using the form below.

For restaurants - how to participate

  • Be located in Venango County, Pennsylvania.

  • Nominate one of your sandwiches as “The Best” to be entered into the contest and agree to sell it to all entry-card holding customers for 50% OFF (one sandwich per entry card) for the contest’s entire duration June 1 - August 31, 2024.

  • Fill out the form below by Friday, May 17, 2024.

  • Take a photo of your selected sandwich and email it to the Museum at venangomuseum@gmail.com to be used in promotional purposes for the contest.

  • Certify customer’s purchase with a stamp, signature, etc. on their entry card in the indicated spot throughout the duration of the contest. The entry card will identify your location and your sandwich. A limited number of entry cards will be sold.

Restaurants sign up here

The form below is for restaurant sign up only. Please only fill it out if you are a restaurant located in Venango County and willing to participate in the contest. If you know a restaurant who has the "Best Sandwich" share this with them to see if they're interested in participating!

By filling out the form above, I certify that I am willing to participate in the Venango Museum of Art, Science and Industry's 2024 "Best Sandwich in the County" contest fundraiser. You and your restaurant agree to sell your selected sandwich (named above) during entire duration of the contest from June 1 - August 31, 2024 for 50% off only to customers who have purchased the "Best Sandwich" entry card sold by the Venango Museum. No customer can obtain the discounted price more than once. No more than 250 entry cards will be sold. Whenever the card-holding customer wishes to vote for the "Best Sandwich in the County" they shall write the name of the sandwich or restaurant on the back of the entry card and return it to the Museum or any participating restaurant. The restaurant/sandwich with the most votes will be recognized as such and presented with an award.
