"The love story of a bold buccaneer."
Join the Venango Museum of Art, Science and Industry on Saturday, September 13 at either 1 pm or 5 pm for a showing of the silent swashbuckler, action-adventure film The Black Pirate (1926) starring Douglas Fairbanks. The film will be accompanied live on the Museum's 1928 Wurlitzer Theater Organ - originally from Oil City's Latonia Theater - by organist Eric Cook.
This film presentation is part of the Venango Museum's 2025 Silent Film Series and made possible by the Jack Rowley Charitable Trust.
This silent film showing is part of Oil City's Allegheny River Music & Art Festival. Admission to this special showing is FREE, although tickets are limited and required to attend. Please note that there are two showings, at 1 pm and 5 pm.
