The Venango Museum’s Silent Film Series is back this May with the romantic comedy classic Girl Shy (1924), starring the legendary Harold Lloyd.
Girl Shy is one of the silent era’s most beloved films. It follows a painfully shy tailor’s apprentice who secretly writes a romance guidebook, even though he has almost no experience with women. The story is full of misunderstandings, daring chases, and the clever comedy that made Harold Lloyd a Hollywood legend.
See this silent-era masterpiece just as audiences did a century ago, with live music on the museum’s historic 1928 Wurlitzer theater organ, played by acclaimed organist Ian Fraser.
